Wednesday Feast

I haven’t really felt up to cooking lately, so when I found myself with energy and enthusiasm this afternoon, I decided to go for it. Plus, I figured a bit of affordable luxury mid-week would do a lot for rallying our spirits.

We had ham, baked in apple juice, brown sugar and cloves. Steamed broccoli in wine & cheese sauce. Buttery twice baked and mashed potatoes with balsamic vinegar and a smidge of cheese,  and some croissants (thanks to Pillsbury). We also tried out Cavas Submarinas Sauvignon Blanc from our stash and found it to be absolutely fantastic. It has a festive feeling with a refreshing amount of kick for a white.
