the double mezzaluna

Here’s a great little tool that everyone should make room in their kitchen for. It’s called a mezzaluna, which, if my abbreviated classical education serves me well, means something along the lines of ‘half moon’. This is actually a double mezzaluna (double half moon? okay.), because it has two blades. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s used to chop things, particularly fresh herbs. You just throw your herbs on the little chopping board and give the little luna a few rocks back and forth and voila! Perfectly chopped herbs!
