manito park

If you live in Spokane, or ever have time to kill in Spokane, I highly recommend Manito Park. It’s big, it’s beautiful, and you pass by some lovely houses getting there. I first went there my freshman year of college with my plant materials class, and I fell in love with it instantly. The Japanese garden is my favorite (not a purist Japanese garden by any means, but still lovely to behold), but we also love the rose and perennial gardens. As B gets bigger, I’m sure we’ll learn to love the pond with all the geese (must remember to bring bread next time!) and the playground. The leaves were everywhere, so I took the opportunity to shoot some photos with the kiddo. And I figured out how to get her to look at the camera. Four words: cell phone ring tones.
